Map of Wonder
Concept: Design a prop to look like a map as the dancers travel to find the orb of light and restore balance in the world.
Project’s Story: As the painter (the soloist) travels across the map, she comes across four individuals who help her find the orb of light: The avatar, Moana, Nala, and Jasmine. I placed the land of Pandora in the corner as a trail of magical dust moves its way around a world protected by Moana, Nala, and Jasmine. I placed iconic images related to each individual, while still maintaining a cohesive relationship as the viewer observes the map.
