Crossing the Line
Concept: Design a text/ image relationship for a dance event happening in New York City.
Project’s Story: Since the location is in New York City, there are two major style of dance that are known there: hip hop and ballet. Hip hop originated in New York in the 90’s, so it was interesting to design a poster with the oldest and newest styles of dance. The two dancers move as if they are in a duet, balancing the soft tones and harsh textures as the dance across the paper.
